Oswego makes its first-ever appearance in the High School Football America Illinois Top 10 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The Panthers sit at No. 10 this week with a perfect 5-0 record.
The opening in the statewide rankings, created with our proprietary algorithm, comes after former No. 6 St. Francis lost its second in a row, on the heels of beating two-time defending 8A state champ Loyola Academy. The Spartans were beaten Friday by Providence Catholic 27-25.
There’s one head-to-head matchup inside the Top 10 this week between No. 5 St. Rita and No. 9 Nazareth Academy.
