2019 brings a mercy rule to Indiana high school football.

On Monday, the Indiana High School Athletic Association executive committee approved a mercy rule that will be used in the fall. Under the new rule, when the point differential reaches 35 points in the second half, the game clock will go to a running clock for the remainder of the game with the exception of timeouts, scores and injuries.
