According to Fox 9 in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Coach Brown believes he and his five assistants, all six of whom are African-American, have been let go by district officials because the school wants a white coach.  The six coaches were dismissed while assistant coach and former defensive coordinator Dave Salzer, who is white, was kept on.

Brown told Fox 9 — “They really want a white head coach, not a black head coach.”

In its dismissal letter to Brown, the district cited his “inability to organize and perform administrative tasks as well as his overall ability to perform his duties as football coach.”

Team captain Glenn Pierson said, “I want answers. Who did this? Why? When?”
