The Suncoast News Network is reporting that John Peacock may be returning as Venice’s head football coach, a couple of months after being fired.  Peacock was fired after “liking” a controversial tweet about Braden River head coach Curt Bradley.

Peacock has apologized about the incident.

SNN is reporting that Peacock could return to the school’s athletic department by Wednesday and probably will be re-named the Indians head coach.

Last season, Venice won the state’s 7A state championship and finished No. 17 in the High School Football America 100.
