The top high school football quarterback in the nation is skipping his senior season. Southlake Carroll’s Quinn Ewers has announced that he’s forgoing his senior season to enroll at Ohio State.
On Twitter (below), Ewers said the decision was based on his inability to profit off his own name, image and likeness as a high school athlete.

Last year, Ewers led the Dragons to a runner-up finish in the largest classification in Texas, which landed the program at No. 13 in the final 2020-21 High School Football America 100 powered by NFL Play Football, the NFL’s initiative to provide fun and engaging experience for players of all ages and skill levels.
Prior to Ewers departure, Southlake Carroll was ranked No. 6 in our 2021 Preseason High School Football America 100.
