J.T. Curtis closes in on No. 1 on all-time high school football coaching victories list

Legendary John Curtis head coach J.T. Curtis is now tied with Summerville’s John McKissick, the legendary South Carolina high school football coach, who passed away in 2019, for the most wins in high school football history.

JC’s 26-7 win over Brother Martin Friday night gave Curtis is 621st career win. Curtis can pass McKissick this week, if the Patriots beat Edna Karr, the No. 1 team in the High School Football America Louisiana Top 10 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.

Curtis is currently 6-2 and ranked No. 7 in the state and No. 153 in the HSFA 300 national rankings.
