Jesuit moves to No. 2 in Florida Top 25 after beating No. 1 St. Thomas Aquinas

It only took two weeks for the High School Football America Florida Top 25 to look very different from the preseason version. Jesuit’s last second 24-21 defeat of preseason No. 1 St. Thomas Aquinas shakes-up the latest version of our statewide rankings powered by NFL Play Football.

Jesuit’s win jumps the Tigers 14 spots to No. 2 in the latest rankings created with our proprietary algorithm. The Tigers also moved from No. 91 to No. 24 in the High School Football America 100 national rankings. STA drops to No. 3 in the state and from No. 4 to No. 25 in our Top 100.

Bartram Trail is the second biggest mover this week after beating former No. 6 Columbus (Miami) 12-6. BT is up five spots to No. 12 this week.

New to the Top 25 this week is Dillard.

This week, Miami’s Northwestern will try to knock-off the state’s new No. 1 team, IMG Academy. The Bulls enter the game against the defending national champs ranked No. 6 in the state after last week’s big win over No. 20 Booker T. Washington (Miami).
