The Central Union High School District is looking for a Varsity Football Coach for Southwest High School.
This coaching opportunity comes with the possibility of a teaching contract for credentialed applicants.
The coaching position requires demonstrated knowledge of and ability to implement effective coaching theory, strategies, and techniques appropriate for high school athletes; demonstrated knowledge of and ability to adhere to and keep abreast of NFHS, CIF-San Diego Section, and Imperial Valley League rules.
The selected individual will be responsible for organizing team practices and maintaining supervision of team members at all times, including during practice, travel and game competitions; prior experience in the sport is required.
The ideal candidate will be committed to the school community and will understand the student dynamic; will genuinely care about the athletes they coach; will be able to effectively communicate their ideas to their athletes; and will hold their athletes to a high standard for academics and sportsmanship.
If the selected candidate is credentialed to teach at the high school level, there is a possibility for a teaching contract. This requires the individual to be highly motivated, student-centered and be able to provide a quality and rigorous education in their authorized subject area.
