John McKissick, who sits atop the America’s all-time high school football coaching victories list with 621, passed away this morning at the age of 93. The legendary high school football coach spent 63 years coaching young men before retiring in 2015.

During his time as the head coach at Summerville High School, the Green Wave won ten South Carolina state championships. His lifetime record is 621-156-13.

Below you can listen to my interview with Coach McKissick in 2011 on the High School Football America Radio Show. That episode also includes an interview with John Curtis (Louisiana) head coach J.T. Curtis, who is No. 2 on the all-time coaching wins list.
