Carlsbad senior-to-be Julian Sayin is the MVP of the 25th annual Elite 11 high school football quarterback competition. The Alabama-recruit, who led his school to a No. 166 ranking in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, last year, had an outstanding three-days at Redondo Union High School outside of Los Angeles.
The event featured 20 of the top high school quarterbacks in the Class of 2024. The 247Sports Composite Rankings have Sayin the No. 2 quarterback in the nation.
Last year, Sayin completed 163 of 245 passes (66.5%) for 2,708 yards with 27 touchdowns and only four interceptions.
Finishing behind Sayin was the Dylan Raiola, who came into the competition as the overall No. 1 college football prospect in the 247Sports Composite Rankings. The Pinnacle (Arizona) quarterback has given his verbal commitment to Georgia.
Speaking of Georgia, Prentiss “Air” Noland of Atlanta’s Langston Hughes High School finished No. 3 at the Elite 11. Noland, an Ohio State commit, led the Panthers to a Georgia 6A title and a No. 14 ranking in the HSFA 300.
Another Georgia high school quarterback, Luke Kromenhoek of Benedictine, finished No. 4. Kromenhoek has given his verbal to Florida State.
