Kenai Central wins Alaska Division III high school football state championship

For the first time since 2011, Kenai Central is an Alaska high school football state champ. The Kardinals beat Barrow 20-8 Saturday for the state’s Division III title. The title is the school’s seventh overall.

Senior quarterback Zeke Yragui tossed two touchdowns passes in the victory.

Kenai finishes with a 8-2 record. Barrow finishes 2023 with a 6-3 mark.
