In 2023, the Kentucky high school football playoffs will look a lot like past postseasons. The Kentucky High School Athletic Association has voted to return to its format that was used before 2019.
Currently, the KHSAA has played intra-district games with district opponents playing games against each other for the first two weeks of the postseason. Come 2023, the state will return to its old format with teams playing neighboring districts for rounds one and two.
