Kevin Wright resigns from IMG Academy

After five highly-successful years, Kevin Wright is leaving IMG Academy. Wright, who led the team to a 44-2 record during his time in Bradenton, Florida resigned earlier this month.

During his first three seasons, the Ascenders, loaded with 4-star and 5-star talent, went 9-0, 11-0 and 8-0. IMG’s only two losses in the last five years came at the hands of Mater Dei (California), in the middle of its back-to-back High School Football America national championships, in 2018 and No. 3 St. Frances Academy (Maryland) in 2019.

This past season, IMG finished No. 6 in the High School Football America 100.

2018 – No. 5 with a 7-1 record

2017 – No. 3 with an 8-0 record

2016 – No. 3 with an 11-0 record

2015 – No. 7 with a 9-0 record
