Kimberly wins 70th straight and 5th straight Wisconsin state title

The longest active win streak is now at 70 games-and-counting after Kimberly beat Sun Prairie 27-7 at Camp Randall Stadium on Friday to win its fifth straight Wisconsin state football championship.  The Papermakers have now won four straight Division 1 titles, plus a Division 2 title in 2013.

Sun Prairie took a 7-0 first quarter lead. The game was tied at seven at the half.

Kimberly scored 27 unanswered points thanks to DJ Stewart, who ran the ball 32 times for 189 yards and the final two touchdowns of the game.

Kimberly last loss was on November 2, 2012, when it lost to Arrowhead in the state quarterfinals.
