For the first-time ever, Knoxville’s West High School appears in the High School Football America Tennessee Top 10, powered by NFL Play Football. The Rebels break into the statewide Top 10 at No. 8 after a 29-26 win against No. 5 Alcoa.

The loss to a 5A team doesn’t affect Alcoa’s state ranking. The loss ends the seven-time 3A champs’ 16-game win streak.

No. 3 Montgomery Bell Academy picked-up another quality victory. The Big Red improved to 6-0 with a 35-21 win over Brentwood Academy. The Eagles drop a notch in the Top 10 to No. 9.

All eyes will be on Chattanooga this week where No. 4 McCallie faces No. 7 Baylor in the Cross River Rivalry that started in 1908.
