Lake Mead Academy wins first-ever Nevada high school football championship.

Lake Mead Academy rolled to a 49-6 victory over Pershing County to capture the Class 2A Nevada high school football championship at Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders.

Freshman quarterback Jerry Meyer led the way with six touchdown passes for the school’s first-ever state football title. Meyer finishes the season with 58 touchdown passes, which is a new Nevada state record.
