2021 6A champ Lakeville South is ranked No. 1 in the Preseason High School Football America Minnesota Top 10, powered by NFL Play Football. The Cougars bring a 21-game win streak into the season.

Lakeville South is followed by Eden Prairie at No. 2, defending 5A champ Mankato West at No. 3, St. Thomas Academy at No. 4 and No. 5 Stillwater.
