Wes Pacheco, who led Mojave to its first-ever Nevada high school football state championship, is the 2024 Las Vegas Raiders Tom Flores Coach of the Year. The honor also makes him one of 32 finalists for the prestigious Don Shula Award.
Last month, Pacheco led the Rattles to the 4A state title with a 30-6 win over Canyon Springs at Allegiant Stadium, home fo the Raiders. After losing its opener to Damien High School from Hawaii, Mojave ripped-off twelve straight wins.
Pacheco was the Raiders Week 4 Coach of the Week after his team beat Virgin Valley in overtime in the Raiders’ Weekly High School Showcase.

Coach Pacheco was honored at a ceremony where he was given $2,000 donation for the school’s football program.
The Shula Award is named after Pro Football Hall of Famer Don Shula, the winningest coach in NFL history. It salutes high school coaches for their character and integrity, leadership, dedication to the community, commitment to player health and safety and on-field success.
