Andy Ostolaza, the head football coach at Silverado High School, is the 2021 Tom Flores High School Coach of the Year for the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders.
Silverado is currently undefeated and ranked No. 4 in the latest Nevada Top 10, powered by NFL Play Football.

Coach Ostolaza is now in the running for this year’s Don Shula NFL High School Coach of the Year Award. All 32 NFL teams honor a local high school coach for the honor.
All Don Shula Award nominees are invited to attend the 2022 Pro Bowl in Las Vegas and will be recognized in special ways during the NFL’s celebration of football. Throughout the week, coaches will receive VIP access and accommodations at various events such as Pro Bowl practices and a chance to interact and engage with various members of the football community as well as attend the Pro Bowl.
Two finalists will each receive $15,000 from the NFL Foundation, $10,000 of which will go to their high school’s football program. Those finalists will also attend Super Bowl LIV in Los Angeles as special guests of the NFL.
The Don Shula Award winner will be announced during the 2022 Pro Bowl, airing Sunday, Feb. 6 at 3 p.m. on ESPN and ESPN Deportes, and simulcast on ABC and Disney XD. The winner will also be recognized and walk the red carpet at NFL Honors, a two-hour primetime awards special to air nationally on Thursday, Feb. 10 on ABC.
