Legendary Kentucky high school football coach Joe Morris retires

After seven Kentucky high school football state championships, Joe Morris is stepping down as the head coach at Mayfield. WPSD-TV is reporting that Morris is retiring after 25 years at the helm of the Cardinals.

Last season, Morris led Mayfield to its 13th overall state title with a 53-48 win over Owenboro Catholic.

Overall, Morris was 7-7 in state title games. he retires after 300 wins and only 56 losses.
