Orange Lutheran’s season-opening 27-26 win over Serra (Gardena) gives head coach Rod Sherman the distinction of being the Week 1 winner of the Los Angeles Rams High School Coach of the Week.

OLu entered the game ranked No. 14 in the state and No. 122 in our national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. Serra, ranked No. 13 in California and No. 118 in the nation, led 20-3 before the Lancers stormed back.

Sherman and his program receive a $1,000 donation.
