Lots of SoCal talent at today’s Edison High School Battle at the Beach Passing Tournament

20 of the top programs in Southern California will square-off in the 17th annual Battle at the Beach hosted by Edison High School in Huntington Beach today.

Pool play begins at 9 AM with the championship game set for 3:15.

One of the most interesting pools will be the C grouping that features Mater Dei and Bishop Amat.  Those two will square-off at 11 AM.

Bishop Amat, Corona Centennial and St. John Bosco were all ranked in MaxPreps’ Early Contenders Top 25 that was recently a couple of weeks ago.

Last year, Hart defeated St. John Bosco 19-13 in the championship game that featured future D-1 quarterbacks Josh Rosen (St. John Bosco, now at UCLA) and Brady White (Hart, now at Arizona St.)
