Belleville (Michigan) junior quarterback Bryce Underwood will head south to play his college football. On Saturday, Bryce Underwood gave his verbal commitment to LSU. With over 40 college scholarship offers, he chose the Tigers over the likes of Alabama, Michigan and Ohio State.

After winning Michigan Division 1 state titles as a freshman and sophomore, the 5-star prospect led Belleville to a runner-up finish this past season. The Tigers climbed as high as No. 53 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, before finishing No. 163 after losing to Southfield A&T in the title game.

Last season, Underwood threw for 3,405 yards and 42 touchdowns against just three interceptions.

Heading into his senior season, Underwood has a 40-2 record as the program’s starter.
