Madison wins first South Dakota high school football championship since 2017

Madison shutout Milbank 31-0 Friday for the South Dakota Class 11A state championship. It was Bulldogs first state championship since 2017, but the school’s fourth in the last seven years.

Trey Smith led the way for Madison with two rushing touchdowns, plus he kicked a 25 yard field goal. Smith was named the game’s Joe Robbie MVP.

Madison finishes a perfect 12-0. After a 1-3 start, Milbank finishes with an 8-4 record.
