Maine-Endwell streak over at 62

Maine Endwell

After 62 straight victories, Maine-Endwell lost in the New York high school football Class A state semifinals to South Park 42-36.

The state-record winning streak began in 2010 after Maine-Endwell lost to Whitesboro in the state quarterfinals.

South Park will now play Our Lady of Lourdes next week in the Class A state championship game at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse.
