Maple Grove wins first Minnesota high school football state championship

It took Maple Grove ten attempts before winning a Minnesota high school football state championship.

Friday night at U.S. Bank Stadium, home of the Minnesota Vikings, Maple Grove beat Rosemount 27-10 for the state’s AAAAAA state title. Rosemount entered the postseason ranked No. 1 in the High School Football America Minnesota Top 10, powered by NFL Play Football.

Maple Grove scored 21-points in the second quarter on its way to a perfect 13-0 record.

Rosemount finishes 12-1.
