Mars Hill Bible wins first Alabama high school football title in just fifth year of football

Mars Hill’s climb to the top of Alabama high school football was a quick one. Thursday, the Panthers beat Linden 53-26 to win the state’s Class 1A title.

Cal Smith scored five touchdowns in the victory — three rushing, one receiving and one on an interception return. Smith also had 17 tackles on defense.
