Martha’s Vinyard’s Donald Herman to resign at the end of 2015 season

Longtime Martha’s Vineyard High School head football coach Donald Herman will step-down at the end of the upcoming season.

Herman, who took over the Vineyarders in 1988, has won 213 as the leader of the island program, according to BostonHerald.com.  Herman, who also was the head coach at Johnson High School in Savannah, Georgia before heading north, owns a lifetime record of 225-101.

Herman has led MV to five Massachusetts Super Bowl titles. Recently he was inducted into the Massachusetts High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
