Even though the top two teams in the High School Football America Maryland High School Football Top 10 lost this past weekend, there are no changes in the latest statewide rankings.
This week, No. 2 Good Counsel will try to rebound from its loss to national power St. John Bosco in California when it plays No. 6 Archbishop Spalding.
Two other teams in the Top 10 will take-on highly-ranked teams in the High School Football America 100. No. 3 DeMatha takes-on St. Ignatius (Ohio), ranked No. 27 nationally. The Stags are ranked No. 35 in the nation.
No. 9 Avalon, which already has lost to two nationally-ranked teams — DeMatha and No. 88 Highland Springs (Virginia) — takes-on No. 7 Gonzaga (Washington, DC).
