It’s time for the annual showdown between neighbors Maryville and Alcoa in a battle between teams currently ranked No. 1 and No. 4 in the latest High School Football America Tennessee Top 10. Friday’s game will make the 92nd time these two have played with Maryville leading the all-time series 62-25-3.
Brentwood Academy jumps four spots this week to No. 2 after a 30-27 win over former No. 4 McCallie. It was a great game with seven lead changes. McCallie only drops a notch to No. 5 in the latest rankings that are created with our proprietary algorithm.
Memphis’ Christian Brothers moves-up two spots after beating former No. 7 Memphis University 28-7. The loss drops the Owls out of the statewide rankings.
