Reigning Division I champ Xaverian Brothers starts 2024 ranked No. 1 in the High School Football America Massachusetts Top 10 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.

As we head into the opening weekend, No. 2 St. John’s Prep will have a big test against No. 6 Marshfield. Both teams finished runner-ups last year, SJP in Division I, Marshfield in Division II.

No. 5 Catholic Memorial will have a big out-of-state game. The Knights will play Cardinal Hayes from the Bronx, New York. Hayes is ranked No. 93 in the preseason HSFA 300 national rankings.

No. 3 Springfield Central also has a national ranked New York opponent. The Golden Eagles will face Iona Prep, ranked No. 106 in the country.

There are currently no teams from Massachusetts in our Top 300.
