A month after leaving St. Thomas Aquinas, Rocco Casullo is the new head football coach at Mater Academy.
Casullo takes over for Javi Valdes, who led the school to a 14-7 record in two years, including a Class 7A playoff berth last season. Valdez left to be come the coach at Coral Reef High School.
Casullo, who led STA to a 7A state title last year, was 47-9 record in four years as the school’s head coach. Last year, St. Thomas Aquinas finished #9 in High School Football America’s Top 25.
