There’s no change at the top of the latest High School Football America California Top 25, powered by NFL Play Football. Preseason No. 1 Mater Dei’s 17-7 win Friday night before a packed house in Santa Ana keeps the Monarchs a solid No. 1. Bosco stays at No. 2 and has fans dreaming of a Part II in the CIF-Southern Section playoffs.

The Monarchs win also kept the team No. 1 in the High School Football America national rankings. Bosco slipped from No. 2 to No. 5 in America.

St. Mary’s (Stockton) blasts into the statewide rankings at No. 16 after upsetting former No. 8 De La Salle 45-35. It was the first time that the Rams beat DLS in ten tries. The Spartans drop to No. 17 with a 3-3 record.

Aside from the Mater Dei/OLu and Bosco/JSerra Top 25 head-to-heads this week, No. 15 Chaminade plays Bishop Amat.
