Mayfield advances to Kentucky 2A championship game after 900th all-time win

On Saturday, Mayfield will play Somerset for Kentucky 2A state championship. Last weekend, became the fourth high school football team in America with 900 all-time wins when the Cardinals beat Beechwood 35-7 in the state semifinals.

Mayfield is the third Kentucky high school football team to enter the 900-win club this year. Highlands became the first, followed by Male.

At 13-1 this season, Mayfield’s all-time record is now 900-257-32
