The saying is nothing lasts forever and that’s seems to be the case in the 2019 High School Football America Georgia Top 25. For the second week in a row, we have a new No. 1.

McEachern is our new No. 1. The Indians are off to a 3-0 start, coming-off a solid 29-7 win over defending 3A state champ Cedar Grove, which entered the game ranked No. 18 in the statewide rankings. McEachern is currently ranked No. 10 in our national rankings.

Grayson jumps from No. 7 to No. 2 after taking-down former No. 1 Marietta 28-14 on Friday. The win also put the Rams in the High School Football America 100 national rankings at No. 16. Marietta falls to No. 3 this week.

Preseason No. 1 Colquitt County tumbles to No. 6 this week after a heartbreaking one-point loss to Valdosta, which moves up to twelve spots to No. 5.

No. 4 Lowndes held its spot in Georgia, but is now part of the national Top 25. The Vikings are No. 25 in the current High School Football America 100. That ranking will be tested this weekend when the Vikings face Florida-power Northwestern from Miami. The Bulls are currently ranked No. 12 in the nation.

The shuffling at the top, also affected the rest of the rankings with two games really shaking things up. Mill Creek’s rain-shortened win against former No. 5 Archer brings the Hawks into the Top 25 at No. 14. Archer drops to No. 15.

Houston County’s one-point win brings the Bears into the state rankings at No. 17.

Woodward Academy (No. 24) and Jones County (No. 25) fall from the rankings even though neither lost this last weekend.
