Meade beat defending Kansas 8-Man Division I champ Little River 22-14 to capture the 2021 state crown. The title is the first-ever in 8-man football for Meade, which won four 11-man state championships in 1972 and 1980 in 2A. The Buffaloes also won 2-1A titles in 2010 and 2012.

Little River brought a 20-game win streak into the game.
