It didn’t take Miami Central very long to find a replacement for Roland Smith.
Jube Joseph is the new head coach of the Rockets. Joseph has been the program’s defensive coordinator during its run of three straight Florida high school football championships.

Smith, the 2014 High School Football America National High School Football Coach of the Year, left the school to join the University of Miami (Florida) football support staff. Smith led the Rockets to six Florida high school football state titles.

The Rockets finished No. 16 last year in the High School Football America 100 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The Rockets’ only losses in a 12-2 season came at the hands of No. 8 St. John’s Bosco (California) and No. 15 Bishop Gorman (Nevada).
