The Miami Dolphins, as part of their Junior Dolphins Donations presented by Nike, visited five high school girls flag football teams in Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties. In an effort to support and empower women and girls participating in flag football, the teams were gifted Dolphins-branded Nike swag bags and Nike cleats. The Dolphins also engaged with the schools’ varsity football programs during the visits.

Kicking off at Olympic Heights Community High School on Wednesday, April 14, the series also included visits to William T. Dwyer High School, Miami Coral Park Adult Education Center and Miami Sunset Senior High School before concluding at Homestead Senior High School on Thursday, April 22.
This initiative is part of the Miami Dolphins Youth Programs’ ongoing effort to impact every high school football program and its athletes in South Florida. The organization has worked to grow girls flag football for middle schools and high schools in Broward and Miami-Dade County Schools for more than 20 years. In the past two years, the Junior Dolphins program has supported more than 30 girls high school flag football teams through efforts that include equipment donations, meal distributions and hosting training camp and game day experiences.
The Junior Dolphins program encourages youth players and coaches to teach, learn and play football in a fun and safe environment. As stewards of the game, Junior Dolphins strive to grow participation in the game, impact the football community and build the next generation of Dolphins fans. Through strong community partnership and strategic resource distribution, all aspects of the Junior Dolphins program work to emphasize character building to increase the overall experience in youth football.
