Michael Irvin Jr. commits to Miami (FL)

Michael Irvin Jr. is following in his dad’s footsteps.  Monday, the younger Irvin announced that he will play his college football at his dad’s alma mater — the University of Miami (Florida).

Irvin Jr. is getting ready for his senior year at Florida’s St. Thomas Aquinas after transferring from Prestonwood Christian in Texas.  247Sports.com considers Irvin Jr. a 3-star recruit and the 27th best tight end in the Class of 2016.  His father also played at St. Thomas Aquinas and Miami before going-on to an NFL Hall of Fame career with the Dallas Cowboys.
