There is a lot of celebrating going on across Michigan right now. The Michigan High School Athletic Association announced Thursday that high school football practice will begin September 8 with regular season games starting September 18.
Last month, the MHSAA said it was moving the sport to next Spring. Becoming the 14th state to do so at the time.
However, on Thursday, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed a new executive order that replaces the old one that kept high school football teams from hitting the gridiron.
Michigan will play a limited six game schedule.
We’ll have more information on this later today.
