There’s a lot of balance in the High School Football America Midwest Regional Preseason Top 25 high school football rankings with plenty of teams having dreams of state championships that could land them in the No. 1 spot at the end of the 2019 season.

Indiana’s Carmel, led by the state’s top Class of 2020 recruit Cole Brevard, is the No. 1 team in the region. Brevard, who has given his verbal commitment to Penn State, is considered a 4-star recruit.

The Greyhounds finished runner-up in 2018 in Class 6A, which is the state’s largest classification. Carmel is ranked No. 35 in the High School Football America Preseason 100 national rankings.

Two-time defending Missouri Class 6 state champ Christian Brothers College High School is ranked No. 2, followed by Center Grove (Indiana) at No. 3, Illinois 8A champ Loyola Academy at No. 4 and Indiana 6A state champ Warren Central at No. 5.
