After going 1-2 in pool play on Thursday, Miles High School was a perfect 5-0 on Friday in the Texas 7-on-7 Division III championship bracket, which gave the school the state title. Miles beat Brady 35-19 in the championship game in College Station.

It was the first time that Miles qualified for the statewide passing tournament.
