Milford captures first Utah Class 1A title in more than two decades

Milford beat defending Class 1A state champ Duchesne 28-14 Saturday to capture the school’s first state title in 23-years.

According to the Deseret News, Milford QB Bryson Barnes threw for 178 yards and three touchdowns.  He also rushed for 90 yards.  The victory avenged Milford’s 21-12 loss to the Eagles on September 22.

Milford finishes with an 11-1 record, while Duchesne ends 10-2.
