Mill Valley solidifies its spot at the top of the Kansas Top 5 high school football rankings

No. 1 Mill Valley, the defending 5A champ, needed a stop on the final play to beat former No. 4 Lawrence 21-14 in a battle of unbeatens. The Jaguars knocked-down a Hail Mary on the final play to keep them at the top of the latest High School Football America Kansas Top 5 powered by NFL Play Football.

Lawrence drops a spot to No. 5 in the latest rankings created with our proprietary algorithm.

No. 3 Blue Valley North lost for the first time this year, but they hold their spot. The Mustangs lost to Missouri’s Lee’s Summit North in overtime. LSW entered the game ranked No. 5 in the High School Football America Missouri Top 10.

After Lee’s Summit West scored first in OT, Blue Valley North decided to go for two and the win. The Mustangs 2-point conversion pass wasn’t completed.

New to the statewide rankings this week is Blue Valley Northwest at No. 4
