The regular football season will have six games with practice starting Monday. The first regular season games will be played October 9. The state’s governing body will make an announcement about the postseason format before October 1.

Minnesota is the fourth state to change its mind after first deciding to play in 2021 because of COVID-19. The others are Colorado, Delaware and Michigan.

Minnesota becomes the 34th state to decide to play football this year, instead of delaying to 2021.
