The top three teams hold their spots after winning head-to-head Florida Top 25 matchups last weekend.

Miami Central remains No. 1 in the High School Football America Florida Top 25, powered by NFL Play Football. The Rockets follow-up their season opening win over IMG Academy with a 36-19 win over No. 24 Booker T. Washington (Miami).

St. Thomas Aquinas stays at No. 2 after its win over 42-14 win over former No. 11 Cocoa. The loss drops the Tigers to No. 13 in the latest rankings created with our proprietary algorithm.

After being rained-out Thursday night, No. 3 Chaminade-Madonna and No. 7 Miami Northwestern finally hit the turf on Saturday. When time ran-out, C-M left the field with a 42-14 victory.

The win sets-up a big showdown this week with No. 4 American Heritage (Plantation) in a battle of unbeatens.

Miami Columbus is this week’s biggest mover. The Explorers are up four spots to No. 9 after their defeat of defending 6A champ Jesuit that falls from No. 9 to No. 14.

How strong is Florida high school football this year? The top six teams in the state are ranked in the High School Football America 25. Miami Central leads at No. 6, followed by STA at No. 7 and Chaminade-Madonna at No. 8.

  • No. 10 Jones (Orlando) vs. No. 12 Edgewater
  • No. 11 Lakeland vs. No. 25 Osceola (Kissimmee)

In a big interstate game, No. 8 Venice will host St. Frances Academy (Maryland), ranked No. 4 in our national rankings.
