Private high school football teams in the Mid-South Association of Independent Schools opened practice Monday. It marked the first step toward starting the 2020 regular season as planned on August 21.

A couple of weeks ago, the Mississippi High School Activities Association moved the regular season start back to September 4, wiping-out two weeks of games.
