There aren’t a lot of off-weeks in when it comes to the top classification in Mississippi. Every week there are big Class 6A games that shape the High School Football America Mississippi Top 10.

Northwest Rankin, which moves up from No. 3 to No. 2 this week, will play No. 6 Brandon this week. Brandon is coming off an impressive 34-6 win over former No. 2 Tupelo, which drops to No. 7 this week.

If both Northwest Rankin and Starkville win this week, it will be the Battle of Yellow Jackets in two weeks as No. 1 Starkville will square-off with Northwest Rankin.
