Monroe Academy wins 26th straight and back-to-back AISA titles

For the second straight year, Monroe Academy is the Alabama Independent School Association Class AAA champ. The Volunteers beat Bessemer Academy 41-35 Friday in the championship game at Troy University.

Carter Ledkins ran for 172 yards and four touchdowns and completed 11 of 23 passes for 193 yards and a score in the victory, which was the 26th straight for Monroe.
