Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast, a Philadelphia co-op high school football program, is celebrating its first Pennsylvania high school football championship. Thursday night, at Cumberland Valley High School, the program known as Bonner-Prendie, beat Lampter-Strasburg 40-14 for the Class 4A state title.

On offense, B-P was led by Mick Johnson, who scored four touchdowns while rushing for a game-high 111 yards on 24 carries.

The defense was led by Brett Johnson, who had two interceptions.

Both teams entered the game ranked in the High School Football America Pennsylvania Top 25 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. B-P was No. 9, L-S was No. 25.
